Today I was browsing the web, doing typical stuff like reading forums, checking out some news sites, looking up stuff for my programming homework, etc, etc, etc (not porn, I swear). I suddenly noticed that firefox had more or less ground to a halt, and the rest of my system was lagging pretty badly too. Curious, I hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up my task manager, and when I looked at firefox.exe, my jaw literally dropped:

I like firefox as much as the next guy, but I’m inclined to think that the Mozilla team has a bit of work to do in order to make firefox a little bit more memory efficient. Just in case anyone is wondering, I only had about 10-12 tabs open, and none of them were flash or javascript or anything (as far as I could tell, at least); this occurred on version 3.0.3.
